Heads up! A few Black Friday sales you might have missed

In case you haven’t noticed, the Black Friday sales are almost upon us. My inbox is filled with all the deals, and it’s making me wish I had been more diligent about unsubscribing! Oh well, I have noticed a few Black Friday sales out there that you might have missed- and I’m sharing them with you here.

Jenni Kayne 25% off everything

Kate and I wandered into Jenni Kayne for the first time earlier this week, during a day in Montecito (more on that in a future post!) My instagram feed has been inundated with ads from Jenni Kayne over the past couple of years, and I wondered about it. So it was great to check it out in person and try on a few things. The sizing is very inclusive (up to XXL) and tends to run large. And the style is perfect for California- lots of neutrals, lighter weight knits, luxurious fabrics (lots of cashmere!)

Kate and I both ended up buying the hudson crewneck– gorgeous colors and very light. It was close to 80 degrees in Montecito, so unfortunately neither of us were in the mood for the thick fisherman sweaters, etc. But they might be perfect for you!

25% off everything through 11/29/21

M.Gemi 20% off everything

OK, so this is a bit of a leap of faith. After seeing Kate’s cute orange Ugg driving loafers (funny how things inspire you!), I went on the hunt for a similar pair. Alas, hers are discontinued, and searches of Nordstrom and Zappos yielded nothing appealing. But another instagram favorite may save the day 🙂 You, like me, may have seen the ads for M.Gemi- another DTC company that sells handmade Italian shoes directly to customers. And they are known for their lovely Felize driving loafers. Those bordeaux ones are gorgeous, but I may try out the navy first. They sent me a $50 first time customer coupon, and apparently will be running 20% off everything later this week.

Advice from other customers: size up by 1/2 size.

20% off everything 11/26/21-11/29/21

First markdowns of Vince at Nordstroms

I am a huge fan of Vince clothing-along the lines of Jenni Kayne, with neutral colors, classic items, and wonderful fabrics- lots of cashmere! But let’s be honest, it’s not cheap! And it’s really hard to find a lot of discounts early in the season (although I did see Amazon running some deals on certain colors, so it’s worth checking there.) Pretty much every Black Friday, Nordstrom finally gives us the gift of ~25% off the fall clothing. So it’s time to pull the trigger if you are so inclined. A few things might make it to January and 40% off, but it’s a bit dicey.

Vince runs quite large, but consistently large. So once you find your size, you should be good to go.

~25% “price matching” at Nordstroms- unclear when/if it ends

20-30% off some Eric Bompard cashmere

Eric Bompard is a bit of a French secret– they are the go-to purveyors of the ubiquitous navy blue cashmere sweaters that apparently every French woman is given at birth 🙂 I bought a couple of v-necks 8 years ago, and they are still going strong. For their Black Friday sales, they have marked down a few colors by 20-30%. And sadly, it’s not going to be the classic colors like black, navy, grey. But there are some lovely blues and a gorgeous pink included.

Eric Bompard runs small! They encourage Americans to get out their measuring tapes and make sure sizes match what they are looking for. I have an issue with things being too short, so I am very careful to make sure that the length is right. Otherwise, I have no complaints-other than the price…but I tell myself that these are sweaters that last for a decade or more.

20-30% off select items now until…. who knows
