I love going out for lunch these days. It’s a perfect way to break up a weekend of chores, and restaurants are usually not too busy. You can get there early, and relax with a leisurely lunch. We did exactly that recently at the Swan Market in Oakland. It’s a food hall with a number of delicious options to choose from. I guarantee that everyone will find something to love.
Our main target was La Guerrera’s in the Swan Market in Oakland, but we did check out the other options. Not everything was open when we were there, so definitely check the hours before heading out. But luckily for us, La Guerrera’s was open, as was Cupcakin’ and Souvenir Coffee. And there’s a meat and sausage vendor, Taylor’s Sausage, that had some great options if you want to cook later.
We picked up a few cupcakes on the way out, because why not??
The main attraction was La Guerrera’s, because this is a family that loves Mexican food. I could probably eat it every day! Everything was delicious- I particularly loved the refried beans. Yummy!
There was plenty of street parking nearby on a Saturday around noon. I would recommend NOT leaving anything in your car though. I don’t think there’s a neighborhood in the Bay Area that’s 100% safe from smash and grabs these days, sadly.
