I’ve got a great recommendation for a lunch spot the next time you are in Santa Ynez Valley. It’s called Petros– and it’s absolutely charming. It was a lovely Saturday, and I decided that Cheddar needed a nice lunch. He’d been rooming with his two doggie cousins, and he needed some solo time. So I treated both of us to an outdoor Greek lunch at Petros.
While dog sitting Kate’s two dogs, Lolly and Zoe, I decided that Cheddar and I needed a little break. Cheddar had been very patient with his cousins, and I knew he could use a bit of solo time with me. So we headed to the Petros Winery and Restaurant for a Greek lunch.
I started with the kafteri dip and finished with the Super Salad with shrimp. Gotta get my protein! 🙂 And since Cheddar had been such a good boy, he had a small order of meatballs. He did seem to enjoy them- although they went down very fast! He probably could have savored them a bit more.
The people watching was quite good at Petros during my Greek lunch. There was a busload of bachelorettes having lunch during their wine tasting adventure. There was a family who consumed quite a lot of wine during a one hour lunch. And of course, there were other people with dogs. None of their dogs got meatballs though!
Next time you are in the area, highly recommend stopping in. The food was great!
