We had some wonderful friends in town a couple of weeks ago, and it was a great opportunity to revisit The Cooperage in Lafayette. It’s one of the largest restaurants in Lamorinda, with a large outdoor patio. And the menu can accommodate almost anyone’s tastes.
One of the best things to come out of the pandemic has been the explosion of outdoor eating. Even in California, it hasn’t been a given that outdoor dining would be available. (some restaurants probably will never add it…) And if there’s one upside to the never-ending California drought, the ability to eat outside for most of the year might be it!
And luckily, The Cooperage in Lafayette is on board with this trend. We got a great table with some shade and a nice breeze and perused the menu.
Best of all, the restaurant was able to accommodate various dietary restrictions- vegan, no sugar, no gluten, vegetarian, and plain old picky (I won’t name names!) If that sounds good to you, here’s a sneak peek of the delicious food you can expect if you make a visit to The Cooperage in Lafayette…
Yes, Sophie may be a high school graduate, but she still asks for the kids’ crayons and menu. Old habits die hard!
To sum it all up…
The food was delicious, and we were so pleased that we returned just a week later with Kate and Steve after Sophie’s graduation. In addition, La Fiesta Square is also a fun spot with several other outdoor restaurants and other shops. Worth a visit if you happen to be in Lamorinda! Probably the most lively spot in the very sleepy Lamorinda area…
