Lunch at a new restaurant in Los Olivos, Bar Le Cote

Steve and I are big fans of Los Olivos. So when we heard that a new restaurant had opened in Los Olivos, we had to try it out! We stopped by for lunch at Bar Le Cote recently. Bar Le Cote is a sister restaurant to Bell’s in Los Alamos which I have written about in a previous post.

Where Bell’s is a traditional French bistro, Bar Le Cote is a seafood bistro.  We went in the first few weeks of the restaurant’s opening, and we luckily made a reservation for lunch at Bar Le Cote in advance.  I would suggest getting one for dinner and likely for lunch as well.

The space is very well done and very comfortable.  My photo skills are not great so take a look at the website for better ones!

We selected a few items from the cold seafood menu to start – oysters and crab claws and then a couple sashimis. They did have a couple non-seafood items on the menu but we believe “when in Rome”! They have a very nice list of local wines by the glass as well as champagnes by the glass.

Similar to Bell’s, the quality of the food and presentation are some of the best in the Santa Barbara area.  We will definitely be back with our foodie friends!
