Things I am loving right now

My attempt at frugality and simpler living in 2023 is continuing. And as a result, I’ve unsubscribed from lots of fun YouTubers and shops that are trying to tempt me to spend. Instead, I am steering to things I am loving that don’t involve any spending! And I must admit, it’s been fun to explore some new things that don’t involve endless returns to UPS 🙂

The Griffin Brothers

Great music + great moves? Yep, that’s The Griffin Brothers. And they are one of the things I am loving right now. They are primarily doing their thing on Instagram, but longer videos are available on YouTube too. Did I mention that they roller-skate?? I could never really roller-skate- too scared! But they are inspiring me to dream of giving it another try.

Kitboga

Y’all, I cannot express the joy and laughter I get from watching hours of scam-baiting videos. And Kitboga is the best! He wastes the scammers’ time and drives them absolutely nuts. I will never look at the gift card section of Safeway the same after realizing they are essentially scammer currency. Be careful out there!

The Traitors on Peacock/NBC

I am not a big reality TV watcher, but I must admit that I loved this show. Perhaps it was Alan Cummings? It might have been Kate, the snarky lady from early days of “Below Deck”? Maybe it was that there actually seems to be a lot of strategy and game theory involved in winning the game? Whatever it is, this show had me hooked!

60 Years of Bond at Royal Albert Hall

I love a James Bond theme song. I took the Peloton 007 classes (and still do!) and sing along. I’ve got the James Bond soundtrack saved on my Spotify list. I am a fan! So when I saw this video on YouTube, it took me about 30 seconds to hit play.

If you like that, you’ll probably enjoy the Amazon Video “The Sound of 007”- which I actually liked even more. OK, I’m ready for the new Bond announcement to come out!

In short, lots of fun stuff out there that doesn’t involve spending a penny! I love that!
