Longing for London: Unboxing special treats from Choosing Keeping

Choosing Keeping is an amazing online find that combines my love of London with my abiding interest in beautiful stationery products. So when I stumbled upon their website, how could I resist? Today I’m sharing an unboxing from Choosing Keeping…it’s going to have to be enough until I get back to London at some point!

Choosing Keeping is a stationery and art supplies store in Convent Garden in London. It appears to be largely women-run, which is just fine by me. (All the emails I’ve gotten from them have been from women.) In addition to some gorgeous Japanese stationery items (many of them are hard to find online), they have some gorgeous exclusive items under the Choosing Keeping brand. You can find out a bit more about their history (and some lovely photos of their store) here.

Some background on Choosing Keeping

Since I’ve never been there in person (yet! yet!), I’ll have to share this little peek from Youtube (Choosing Keeping starts at 2:oo)… honestly, just watching this woman walk around London, mask-free, in before times, is making me a bit wistful. I can picture myself wrapped up in a cozy jacket, with a cashmere scarf (and comfortable shoes!), wandering around London’s stationery shops. Afterwards, afternoon tea at the Dorchester with Dear Husband and sweet Sophie. OK, dream time over!

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m sort of into stationery these days 🙂 (Kate is rolling her eyes as she reads this- understatement of the century, right Kate?) And I appreciate the Brits- and their appreciation for fine stationery. Choosing Keeping is a great example of this. It’s not cheap but these are things that you will have for a very long time. The John Derian paperweights, the mocha ware pencil cups– these are things that you invest in for the long haul. They will make your working from home situation just a little more joyful and personal.

Unboxing my Choosing Keeping order

But I didn’t buy those items in this order… here’s what I did buy (and no affiliate links. I wish!)

Every order comes with this lovely little card. You can opt for fancy packaging- which I did not know to do. But next time!

note from Choosing Keeping order

The wrapping includes pretty stickers. And Rivoli stationery is fantastic- beautiful German pink stationery.

Custom notebooks from Choosing Keeping, made from vintage wallpapers. I’m using the one on the left as a commonplace book.

A pretty letterpress card for my sweetheart (Dear Husband. Shhh! Don’t tell him!)

I hope you enjoyed this unboxing from Choosing Keeping. If you are looking for some really special stationery items for yourself or a friend, keep them in mind!
