And while I love a visit to the farmers market in spring, the East Bay winter farmers markets are pretty wonderful. How to best enjoy farmers market strawberries- ice cream!

As I mentioned last week, Steve and I made a visit to the Santa Barbara Farmers Market. And we picked up a bunch of strawberries- delicious! Of course, there are a million uses for farmers market strawberries- but one of the best has to be ice cream!

Strawberries at the Tuesday night Santa Barbara Farmers Market

Steve and I stopped by the Santa Barbara Farmers Market this week. The market is really wonderful, but we don’t make it there as frequently as we want. Saturday mornings just tend to get filled up with other activities. So when I remembered that the market is open on Tuesday nights, I planned an outing with Steve.

Moraga Farmers Market at the height of summer

I just returned from our weekly trip to the Moraga Farmers Market, and I wanted to share a few photos. Wow, the farmers market in summer is the best time of year! So many delicious things are in season, and the bounty is inspiring me to try some new recipes.

Kate has written about visiting the Santa Barbara market over Labor Day weekend. Although I’m sure their farmers market is wonderful, I don’t know how you can beat those of the Bay Area.
