We are entering the peak farmers’ market season in Northern California. And one of the first signs is the arrival of the cherries at the Moraga Farmers’ Market. I like to stop by the local farmers’ markets at least every few weeks. But in the summer, I try to make it a weekly stop- especially the Sunday Moraga Farmers’ Market.

The best picks at East Bay winter farmers markets
We are so lucky to live in a part of the world that has access to terrific produce all year round. And while I love a visit to the farmers market in spring, the East Bay winter farmers markets are pretty wonderful. As we are all kicking off a new year and various attempts to eat healthier, perhaps this post will inspire you.

Not just as a way to escape the questionable ventilation of Safeway, but it’s also a great way to shake up our routines. And it feels like the right thing to help the small vendors and farmers during this tough time. On top of that, the result is delicious- such fresh items, plus Thai food, a wonderful bakery and more.
