We recently had took a quick trip to the St. Regis hotel in Punta Mita, Mexico. It was a wonderful chance to spend time with Sophie before her busy summer starts. A dear friend recommended the hotel, and she was right on point with her recommendation (thank you dear friend, you know who you are!) And there were in particular five great things about the St. Regis Punta Mita that you need to know about.
Dearest Sophie is home from college for the summer. It’s easy to let this summer just melt away. It feels like a long time (almost four months!) Why do we need to make a concerted effort to spend time with the people we love? Because despite what we may tell ourselves every day, time is short. And we could be gone tomorrow. We have to prioritize time with our people, right now.

During a recent trip to Santa Barbara, Kate organized a day in Montecito for the three of us, Kate, Sophie and me. It was a terrific day! The weather was amazing, and we got to do some shopping, eat at two delicious spots and spend time on a beach walks with the dogs. Really, I can’t imagine a better day! We had such a great time on the Big Island on our family vacation. And as much as I love sitting on the beach, listening to podcasts, or swimming, it’s good to squeeze in a few activities as well.
