Getting organized and awesome with my 2022 Hobonichi planner

September is planner season around here, but sometimes it pushes into October. And this has been the case with my 2022 Hobonichi planner order. Because I ordered the gorgeous Liberty print cover in Erica, which was delayed until late September, I just received my order. And I can’t be more excited to kick off another year of using a Hobonichi planner.

The unboxing of Hobonichi is always nice- there’s an inspiration quote on the shipping box and it’s very well packed.

You may recall that I’m giving a Smythson diary a try for 2022 as my main agenda. But I still think there’s room in my routines for the 2022 Hobonichi planner as well. And I just couldn’t resist the beautiful fabric- and I am a sucker for anything from Liberty of London

And it was worth the wait to get the Erica cover; it’s pretty much sold out everywhere. I couldn’t wait to give it a try, so I’ve already popped my 2021 planner in. And it’s as lovely as I expected.

Along with the 2022 Hobonichi planner, I ordered a couple of blank Tomoe River notebooks that I have a few ideas for. Plus I loved the pretty covers. With the status of Tomoe River paper up in the air, I figured stocking up wasn’t a bad idea.

And I also used the order to pick up a few stocking stuffers. Trust me, decent stocking stuffers are hard to find- it’s easier to pick things up throughout the year. In this case, I’m popping the little gifts from Hobonichi (a metal spoon charm- what can I say? they are quirky) and the annual multi-pen are going into the stocking of my favorite daughter. Along with a 2022 Weeks agenda for her. Perhaps I can get her on the Hobonichi bandwagon!

Not sure what the story is with the little spoon?
I know the dog and cat theme will go over well with my daughter’s love of animals…

And what will I use my 2022 Hobonichi planner for? I’m thinking of using it for memory keeping- for jotting down my routines and what’s on my mind at a high level. This will be on top of my morning pages and nightly journaling! At this rate, poor Sophie is going to have more documentation and papers from her mother than she could ever want, once I am gone! 🙂 But I enjoy reading my old notebooks and agendas, just remembering what life was like at a certain point. I am hoping this planner will help me capture it for future musings…
