You all may know that I am a Smythson super fan! While I try my best to buy my Smythson notebooks on sale, the sad truth is that they aren’t going to be putting 2023 planners on sale anytime soon. Nevertheless, I placed my order for my planners from Smythson and Hobonichi, and I’ve just received them both. Even though we’ve got 3 months to go in 2022, I’m already excited for next year!
I have been an avid habit tracker for a few years now, but it really ramped up as I got more into planners and my beloved Hobonichi Techo over the past year. But I’ve realized that my list of habits and my overall approach could use a rethink. Instead of just blindly tracking various things, I am starting from scratch on habit tracking for 2022.
September is planner season around here, but sometimes it pushes into October. And this has been the case with my 2022 Hobonichi planner order. Because I ordered the gorgeous Liberty print cover in Erica, which was delayed until late September, I just received my order. And I can’t be more excited to kick off another year of using a Hobonichi planner.
Most people have probably not given much thought to planning for 2022. But those of us who are obsessed with stationery and planners have been thinking about 2022 planners for a few months now. Why start in September, you may ask? Because September 1 is the official kickoff of planner season. And I’m making the case for why you should consider getting a Smythson Cosmic Diary.
I think we can all agree that it’s a good idea to put 2020 behind us and get a fresh start for 2021. And one way to do that is to get organized and start planning for an awesome year with Hobonichi Techo planners.
What are Hobonichi Techo planners, you may ask? I was in the exact same spot that you are three months ago. Then I read this article about Hobonichi and the 20th anniversary of their famous planners. They are Japanese planners which are released every September and have a cult following. If you don’t believe me, check out the subreddit or #hobonichi on Instagram.
