Three lessons learned from cleaning out my closet

I just completed a mega closet clean-out as I switched from Summer to Fall clothing. It was a fair amount of work, but very rewarding. I am ready for Fall and all its adventures, with a closet of clothes that I will actually wear. And as I progressed through this multi-day task, I learned a few lessons from cleaning my closet that I hope you can learn from. They may save you money, and they will definitely save you some frustration!

Getting organized and awesome with my 2022 Hobonichi planner

September is planner season around here, but sometimes it pushes into October. And this has been the case with my 2022 Hobonichi planner order. Because I ordered the gorgeous Liberty print cover in Erica, which was delayed until late September, I just received my order. And I can’t be more excited to kick off another year of using a Hobonichi planner.

The importance of preparing Go Bags for an emergency

I hate to be a negative Nelly. But if nothing else, the past year has taught us all that you never know what’s coming at you. And in the spirit of this blog, life in California is particularly fraught with potential emergencies. We have earthquakes, fires, power shutoffs, god knows what else. I shudder to think of it- asteroid strikes? Alien invasions? There isn’t always much we can do to prepare for what’s coming next. But we can take some action by preparing our Go Bags.

How to set up a daily routine for productivity and wellness

As we kick off 2021, it seems like a good time to re-evaluate our routines to make sure they are still serving us. It’s easy to get in a rut where we just continue our usual patterns. But instead of just chugging along, let’s use this time to discard what’s not working and try out some new habits. This is the kind of new year’s “resolution” I can get behind- no rejection of carbs or commitments to run 15 miles a week in sight! And my daily routine may give you some ideas for making 2021 your best year yet.

I like to think of my daily routine as doing two things: First, helping me kick start my productivity for the rest of the day and second, bringing me ever closer to feeling healthy and well. And I can see myself doing most of these activities for the rest of my life (as long as they continue to make me feel good about my progress!)

Prepping for an awesome 2021 with Hobonichi Techo planners

I think we can all agree that it’s a good idea to put 2020 behind us and get a fresh start for 2021. And one way to do that is to get organized and start planning for an awesome year with Hobonichi Techo planners.

What are Hobonichi Techo planners, you may ask? I was in the exact same spot that you are three months ago. Then I read this article about Hobonichi and the 20th anniversary of their famous planners. They are Japanese planners which are released every September and have a cult following. If you don’t believe me, check out the subreddit or #hobonichi on Instagram. Be careful… you very well may want to join the cult too!
